About
Meet Kierra
Kierra Gray is an author, contemporary singer-songwriter, content creator, ministry leader, and Vice President of Gray Music & Media Group, a family-owned company using music, media, publishing, and creative education to inspire people and strengthen families.
Born into a musical family, Kierra began learning piano at four years old through the music school her parents founded. She later explored drums, guitar, voice, and violin before discovering that songwriting was her greatest musical passion.
Often described as a storyteller through song, Kierra blends heartfelt lyrics with rich melodies that reflect her passion for faith, creativity, identity, and human connection.
Kierra was named a 2018 National YoungArts Winner in the Voice and Singer-Songwriter discipline and was invited to Miami, Florida, for a week of intensive masterclasses and performances. During the program, she trained with Tony Award-winning vocal coach Joan Lader and Grammy Award-winning artist Lisa Fischer and received mentorship from the late Grammy-winning soul legend Betty Wright.
Her original music has been featured in multiple creative projects, including the 2020 Korean documentary Permission to Exist and the National YoungArts Foundation’s do it (home) Fall Art Exhibition, for which she composed the featured piece “Look Straight Don’t See.”
In 2021, Kierra led a global songwriting workshop for The People’s Forum in New York. She later served as a panelist for the YoungArts Songwriting Info Session alongside Grammy Award-winning artist Grace Weber and USC Thornton Songwriting Professor Chris Sampson.
Her songwriting has also received recognition from the SongDoor International Songwriting Competition. “All the Simple Things” received Honorable Mention in 2022 and was officially released on January 5, 2023. Kierra later performed the song at the 2023 YoungArts Welcome Dinner. In 2023, she received another Honorable Mention for “Carefully Crafted,” a children’s song about identity, value, and being beautifully designed by God.
Kierra’s creative work extends beyond music. She is also an accomplished voiceover artist whose voice has been featured in campaigns for Family Worship Center, a multi-campus church in South Carolina, as well as international wine brands Yellow Tail and Josh Cellars.
In January 2025, Kierra began creating faith and family-centered content to help people understand God’s character, hear His voice, discover their identity, and apply biblical truth to everyday life. Since then, her relatable teaching style, transparent storytelling, and ability to make profound spiritual truths understandable have cultivated an audience of more than 81,000 followers across social media platforms.
Kierra's Online Community
Kierra is also the founder of Doulos Co., an online Christian discipleship community devoted to helping people move beyond surface-level Christianity and develop a personal, surrendered relationship with Jesus. Through digital teachings, Bible studies, mentorship, workshops, community gatherings, and free pop-up events in cities across the country, Doulos Co. encourages believers to live by its defining convictions: “Devoted to Jesus” and “Anything for the King.”
On September 1, 2026, Kierra released her debut book, The Thoughts I Think Toward You: Love Letters from Your Heavenly Father. Inspired by Psalm 139:17–18, the book explores what Scripture reveals about God’s thoughts toward His children through 14 personal, biblically grounded letters written from the perspective of the Heavenly Father.
The book received an extraordinary organic response, generating nearly 500 digital book and audiobook pre-sales in less than three weeks. Readers across the United States and around the world have shared testimonies of encountering God’s love, finding freedom from shame, and developing a deeper desire to know who God is.
On October 1, 2026, Kierra released the immersive audiobook edition of The Thoughts I Think Toward You. More than a conventional narration, the audiobook is a father-and-daughter experience featuring Kierra reading each letter while her father, musician Bevis Gray, accompanies her with original piano music. The collaboration creates a reflective atmosphere where listeners can slow down, receive the message, and experience the tenderness of letters from their Heavenly Father while hearing the musical expression of an earthly father supporting his daughter.
Across every song, book, teaching, and creative endeavor, Kierra’s mission remains the same: to use every gift God has given her to help people encounter truth, understand their God-given identity, and grow in a genuine relationship with Him.
